Emotional Empowerment for Children:
The horses have a special connection to children, like the young foals, children also live in the moment, enjoying themselves and not worrying about what was and what will be.
The horses have a wonderful ability to extract from children courage, determination and other qualities inherent in them that they do not always manage to express, such as self-confidence, social integration, self-image and more.
The realm of the horses assists the child to strengthen his focus and his listening, and increases his emotional and mental clarity, which is essential to the process of learning and memory.
The magical connection that exists between a child and the horse not only helps increase his self-confidence but also helps to strengthen his ties with the environment, his family and other children, with whom he socializes.
The connection with an animal as large as the horse deepens and strengthens the child’s inner thoughts, in which they feel they can do anything and change everything and that everything is “small”
Everything is possible!!
The change in the child is evident after the first encounter, and the great strength of the horses enables rapid healing in children.
Results from the treatment:
The parents feel that their child is re-wired, his mind is clear, his heart is brave.
There is increased emotional strength along with an inner calmness and new leadership abilities.
(This is of course true for all children and adults alike)
The biggest advantage for the child is that he does not feel that he is in “therapy” but is rather having fun with the horses.
All this is accomplished without riding.
Case study with a description of the treatment:
An 8-year-old girl arrived for treatment, her parents complained about her childishness, insecurity and fears of anything unfamiliar.
At the beginning of the treatment the girl created a “bond” with the horses by means of petting and caressing them, when the horses approached her, and she chose one of them to work with. At my request, she performed the Infinity symbol (8 “sideways”) with the horse.
This exercise is known to rewire the left and the right brain and creates new synapses (neural connections) in the corpus callosum.( a band of nerve fibers joining the two hemispheres of the brain.)
This exercise strengthens the thinking abilities and empowers the child.
Additional exercises were chosen in collaboration with the girl to “work” the relationship with her family, using the horse she chose to represent her family.
Later I also focused on the girl’s low emotional age, she behaved like a 4-year-old, not according to her physical age.
Apart from her fun and experience of success in moving a large horse and performing the exercises, she also enjoyed an energetic charge from the horses.
The meeting ended with a big smile and she hugged her new big friend – a huge Tennessee horse weighing over half a ton!!
The parents reported that same evening that she was behaving in a more mature and relaxed manner, which was preserved over time.
One of the most exciting things about working with children is the quick and efficient results.
You are invited to come with your children to participate in the experience and regenerate mental and physical energy from the horses.
